RESERVE — Every month at the Reserve library, Rona Joseph, branch supervisor, hosts an adult program, “Make Shoppe.”
One of her many talents is crafting, so she decided to start a crafting program where people can explore their creativity, think outside of the box, learn something new and enjoy themselves while doing so.
The crafts are usually inspired by things in the community, holidays, Pinterest or from suggestions by patrons. Since she’s started the program, the growth has been profound.
The women are always excited to hear her new ideas and perform the crafts at the next month meeting.
Some programs that she has held are Sip-In-Paint, How to Make Floral Wreaths, How to Make Seasonal Mesh Wreaths, Wooden Owl Displays and Christmas Candle Holders.
The last program was The Krewe of Muses Glitter Shoes, which was held in two sessions in January. The women decorated pumps, tennis shoes or boots using glitter, embellishments and feathers.
The next program, Candy Bouquets, will be held Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Reserve Branch.
