Fifth grader Torie Joseph has been named the Ascension of Our Lord Fifth Grade Student of the Year. Torie is the daughter of Todd and Cherie Joseph of LaPlace. Recognition is given to students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, leadership ability and citizenship. Applicants submit a portfolio that includes personal information, a biographical sketch, academic achievement, leadership, activities, recognitions, service and citizenship.
