Ruben Gonzalez, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.

He was a native of McAllen, Texas, and a resident of LaPlace.

Gonzalez was the beloved husband of Virginia Mendoza Gonzalez; father of Rodney Gonzalez (Joycelyn), Sylvia Foster (Edward) and Ruben Rodman Gonzalez (Joanne); and son of the late Dionicia and Rey Gonzalez.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace on Friday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m.

Visitation is on Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m.

Interment is in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
