St. James Hospital recognizes top employees

LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital announced the 2015 Employees of the Third Quarter as Jared Laiche and Jeanette Wallace.

Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.

Laiche has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for four years and serves as an Information Systems Tech.

Laiche is a 2000 graduate of Lutcher High School and a 2004 Graduate of ITI Technical College.

Wallace was nominated by Rachael Amato, administrative assistant, who described Wallace as patient, courteous and polite.

“St. James Parish Hospital relies on people like him to keep the hospital running efficiently,” Amato said. “I am grateful to have such a great co-worker.”

Laiche said he is very lucky to work in a great environment.

“The entire organization has helped me continue to grow — both as a person and a professional,” he said. “Thank you, St. James Parish Hospital.”

Wallace has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for nine years. Her current role is Housekeeping Tech. Wallace is a 1983 graduate of Lutcher High School.

Wallace was nominated by Carolyn Bossier, education coordinator, who said Wallace seems to always put in extra effort to make sure people are satisfied with her work.

“I enjoy doing a good job helping my co-workers with their work,” said Wallace, who was very excited about the recognition.

perspectives lauded

St. James Parish Hospital has been recognized by iVantage Health Analytics and the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health (for overall excellence in Patient Perspectives and Financial Strength, reflecting top quartile performance among all acute care hospitals in the nation.

The rankings have been designated by the Hospital Strength INDEX, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of hospital performance, hospital leaders said.

The Hospital Strength INDEX captures performance metrics from more than 4,000 acute care hospitals, including more than 1,300 rural and Critical Access Hospitals.

“These top quartile performers should take great pride in this recognition,” said Michael Topchik, senior vice president of iVantage Health Analytics.

“It showcases their commitment to continuous performance analysis and improvement. In celebration of National Rural Health Day, it’s an honor to recognize their achievement as they continue to serve their communities despite the many market, regulatory and financial pressures they face.”
