SPARE some time and join the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department STRIKE out cancer one FRAME at a time!
We are looking for personnel from area Sheriff’s Offices and Fire Departments to form five-person bowling teams for this fundraiser event! The bowling tournament will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 15 at Tangi Lanes in Hammond.
Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department teams must consist of personnel only. The entry fee is $100 per team. All proceeds will go to Perry’s Posse, a local non-profit organization that helps cancer patients throughout the St. John, St. James and St. Charles area.
The tournament is open to the public (not only first responders).
The tournament format goes as follows: Each team will bowl two games. The top two public teams will bowl for a championship, and the top Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department teams will bowl for a championship.
Since Tangi Lanes has 24 lanes, only the first 24 teams will be accepted. Bowlers will have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50, raffles and an optional Strike Pot ($5 per person).
If it is your turn to bowl when a GOLD head pin comes up and you are the first person to make a strike on the GOLD head pin, you win the pot. If you do not have a team but want to bowl or have questions, please contact Denise Bertrand at d.simoneaux@stjohnsheriff.org or 985-359- 8753. She will take names to organize a team.
