LAPLACE — The fourth grade classes at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School recently attended a RiverWorks Discovery (RWD) presentation.
The learning experience was funded by a grant from RWD, which is a nationwide program that educates young people about the role the nation’s rivers and waterways have played and will continue to play in the country’s progress.
Representatives from Associated Terminals led the presentation, which was focused on water conservation.
SJA fourth graders helped demonstrate that, out of all the water on Earth, only a tiny portion is available for drinking.
The grant also included admission to the Aquarium of the Americas.
