Little Miss St. James Pageant moved to Nov. 15

LUTCHER — Organizers have rescheduled the 2015 Little Miss St. James Fall Pageant after the Poche Plantation Arts and Craft show was cancelled Oct. 25 due to the weather.

The St. James Parish Sugar Queen Committee is holding the 2015 Little Miss St. James Fall Baby Pageant Nov. 15 at Lutcher High School Auditorium.

Entrance is open to anyone in Louisiana in the following age categories: Baby Miss (girls 3-11 months); Baby King (boys 3 – 23 months); Tiny Miss (girls 12 – 23 months); Jr. King (boys 2 – 4 years old); Toddler Miss (girls 2 – 3 years old); Little Miss (girls 4 – 5 years old); Petite Miss (girls 6 – 7 years old); Precious Miss (girls 8 – 9 years old); Deb Miss ( girls 10 – 11 years old); Jr. Miss ( girls 12 – 13 years old); Ms (women 24-49 years old); and Classic (women 50+).

The attire is Sunday Best for all categories except Jr. Miss, Ms and Classic divisions. The attire is evening gowns for those categories.

The entry fee to participate is $40 if registered before Nov. 12. There will be a $10 late fee after that date. Those interested can register the day of the pageant.

The photogenic fee is $5 extra. All contestants must be registered at least 20 minutes before the listed competition time: Baby Miss – 10 a.m.; Baby King – 10:15 a.m.; Tiny Miss – 10:30 a.m.; Jr. King – 10:45 a.m.; Toddler Miss – 11 a.m.; Little Miss – 11:30 a.m.; Petite Miss – 11:45 a.m.; Precious Miss – noon; Deb Miss – 12:15 p.m.; Jr. Miss – 12:30 p.m.; Ms – 12:45 p.m. and Classic -1 p.m.

All categories will have a queen/king and four runners up. Winners receive a sash, custom crown and a medal for queen, first and second places.

Each category will have a fashion award, prettiest hair, prettiest smile, prettiest eyes and most photogenic.

Organizers have the right to combine categories if necessary. Proceeds serve as funding for the Miss St. James Pageant. And for an extra $2, scores can be viewed immediately after presentation of awards.
