Veterans Home takes part in breast cancer awareness

RESERVE — Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home hosted a program and cancer awareness walk Wednesday for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Juanika Green was the guest speaker and is a breast cancer survivor.
Residents, volunteers and staff members listened to guest speaker and breast cancer survivor Juanika Green speak about her experience and reliance on God to get her through her cancer ordeal.
After the program, attendees walked laps around the building and released pink and white balloons to show their support.
