Ronald R. Bigelow, 79, of Reserve passed away Oct. 26, 2015, at 4:16 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.

He was born on May 1, 1936, in Ottoville, Ohio, to the late Hilary “Buck” and Coletta Kehres Bigelow.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Joan Williams Frazier of Reserve, and her children Richard Frazier Jr. and wife Dolly of Reserve,  Melissa Rayburn and husband Shawn of Denham Springs, daughter Trina Bigelow of Palacios, Texas, and her children Jason Elliot and Kirby Bigelow and wife Crystal, daughter-in-law Sallie Bigelow of Denham Springs and her daughter Tara Bigelow, and daughter-in-law Debbie Bigelow of Palacios, Texas, Nick Bigelow and wife Rebecca, Jerret Bigelow and wife Michelle, Stephanie Bigelow and Victor Longoria.

He is also survived by his brother, Paul Bigelow of Aitkin, Minn., and sister, Jane Bigelow Bridgeman of Van Wert, Ohio, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and step-son Glynn L. Entremont of Garyville.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Donald and Randall Bigelow; granddaughter Angelique Bigelow Jordan; brothers Robert Sr., Raymond Sr., Robert; sister Anne Irick; and step-son Barry P. Entremont.

Bigelow served in the United States Army and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ironworkers.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Bigelow, Jerret Bigelow, Nick Bigelow, Arnold Bigelow, Richard Frazier Jr. and Shawn Rayburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Friday, Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m.
