Natalie D. Beam was recently named the Administrative Librarian/Director of the parish’s public library system.

She said books and libraries offer knowledge that is fundamental to achieving, learning and progressing.

“In our quest to facilitate these factors, our library system boasts a wide range of books that appeal to different and diverse interest,” she said. “It is our objective to appeal to all.”

In addition to traditional books, the library offers broadband and wireless internet service at no cost, digital downloadable books through the Overdrive database, many titles available in audiobooks and the latest crave of play-aways, which are available in audio and video formats.
