Port’s quarterly journal ‘PortLog’ receives award

LAPLACE — The Port of South Louisiana received a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award for its 2015 project in the category of Magazine for communities with populations of 25,000-200,000 from the International Economic Development Council
The honor was presented at an awards ceremony during the 2015 IEDC Annual Conference in Anchorage, Alaska. The Port of South Louisiana was selected to receive this award for its quarterly journal, the PortLog. The main goal of the publication is to keep existing and potential prospects abreast of the accomplishments, capabilities and availabilities of the Port .
Also, it strives to inform its audience about what is new, interesting, current and unique about South Louisiana’s River Region.
“Completion of each quarterly issue is certainly a team effort, but I want to especially commend Linda Prudhomme, Lisa Braud and Alex Hernández, the Port’s Business Development team, for the exemplary work they do in preparing the PortLog for publication,” said Paul G. Aucoin, Executive Director of the Port of South Louisiana.
