Suspect arrested in St. Charles stabbing death

AMA — A Jefferson Parish suspect is facing a murder charge following the fatal stabbing of man in St. Charles Parish.
Rodney Naquin Jr., 25, is charged with second degree murder, armed robbery and obstruction of justice, authorities announced Monday morning.
“The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report that after working around the clock since Tuesday evening, SCSO Detectives have arrested 25-year-old Rodney Naquin of Westwego … for the stabbing death of Jassen Robert of Ama,” a release from St. Charles Sheriff Greg Champagne said.
St. Charles deputies began their case after responding to a medical emergency at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Robert Street in Ama.
Upon arrival, deputies located the body of Robert, 48, inside the residence. Robert suffered from stab wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.
