Schexnayder: Honor to continue serving region

Dear fellow residents of District 81,
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your state representative. It is an honor to be your voice in Baton Rouge and to work on your behalf to build an even better, stronger community.
It’s the time of year when you hear many campaign promises. I won’t make any of those, but I will give you my word that I will always do what I think is in the best interest of the people of this district and the state of Louisiana. If there is an issue that concerns you, or if I may render assistance, I am only a phone call or email away.
Should you see fit to re-elect me — and I certainly hope you do — my priorities will remain the same. At the top of this list is continuing my work to attract jobs and more economic opportunities. To prepare for the job market, I will keep supporting increased funding for job training, in particular those programs that benefit veterans and their families.
I will also keep pushing for building better, safer roads and for constructing vital flood control projects.
My support for traditional family values will not waver. I deeply respect the strong Christian faith of this community.
I won’t let up on ensuring that local control of our schools and local input on academic standards is protected.
As the owner of a small business, I know what it means to meet a payroll and pay taxes. My wife and daughters all work to help support their families, and I feel strongly that people should be paid a fair wage, no matter their gender.
I’ll continue working to cut taxes and stop government intrusion into our lives so you can bring more of your paycheck home.
It would be my great honor to continue serving you as your state representative. I will remain accessible to you, listen to your concerns and help whenever I can. I’d sincerely appreciate your vote. Thank you for your consideration and God Bless!
Sincerely,
Clay Schexnayder #64
Louisiana State Representative, District 81
