Connie’s Grill serving customers for 47 years

RESERVE — Connie’s Grill has become a River Road staple over the last 47 years.

Owned and operated by Cheryl Burger since 1998, the lunchtime restaurant is often standing room only.
Connie’s serves its mostly repeated customers home-cooked southern food like grilled pork chops, smothered cabbage, homemade macaroni and cheese, fried shrimp and roast beef po’boys and oysters. The daily menu changes with the exception of a few house favorites.
Customers travel from all over the River Parishes to eat at Connie’s, some dining several times a week.
Connie’s Grill is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
