3 Garyville men arrested for dogfighting

GARYVILLE — Three local men are facing dogfighting charges following their weekend arrests.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Bryant Daigre Jr., 27; Brandent Sampson Sr., 36; and Kenon Duhe, 27, all of Garyville, Saturday morning.

They were arrested at their residences without incident, Sheriff Mike Tregre said.

“Detectives obtained judicial court ordered arrest warrants for the suspects on Sept. 26 after receiving video evidence clearly showing them forcing dogs to engage in illegal dog fighting,” Tregre said.

Detectives booked:

Daigre with dogfighting and violation of probation/parole. He remains in custody in lieu of a $5000 bond.

Sampson with dogfighting, an outstanding attachment and violation of probation/parole. He remains in custody in lieu of a $5,150 bond.

Duhe with dogfighting, an outstanding attachment and three fugitive warrants for St. James Parish. He remains in custody in lieu of a $5,150 bond.
