RESERVE — The 2015 Miss and Teen Andouille Queens have been crowned.

Saturday night at St. John Theatre, Madison King, 19, was named Miss Andouille Queen, and Tabitha Tregre, 14, was announced Teen Andouille Queen.

King is the daughter of Jason and Valarie King of LaPlace. She is a sophomore at LSU, studying mass communications. King was sponsored by Cutting Edge Lawn Service.

Tregre, the daughter of Kirt and Tricia Tregre, is a freshman at Riverside Academy. She was sponsored by Katie Lyn Salon, owned and operated by her mother.

This was not the first time King has been part of the Andouille Pageant, as she was Teen Andouille in 2009.

“Being queen is something I’ve always wanted, so this is like a dream come true honestly,” King said.

She is excited for the year ahead of her.

“They have so many new things this year,” King said. “I’m really looking forward to going to D.C. I’ve been once, but it wasn’t a long enough trip.”
