Dave Phillip Monaret Sr., 74, a native of LaPlace and a resident of St. Amant, passed away from lung disease at 2:52 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.

He was retired from Enterprise Products after 26 years of service.

Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis LeMoine Monaret; daughter Bridget Benoit and husband Philip “Boobie;” son Jarrod Monaret and significant other Debby Scifres; and grandchildren Joel Gros Jr., Brittany Monaret and Lexi Benoit.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dave “Tiger” Monaret; parents Henry and Bridget Monaret; brother Roland Monaret and sister Theresa Haydel.

His favorite pastimes were fishing and bowling.
