LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Hollywood Cinemas 7 Saturday after a broken front window was reported.

Theater workers reported the location closed the day before.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, authorities were told the location was being closed for renovations. Outside of the broken window, no damage was reported.

Attempts to reach theater owner David Wilcox were unsuccessful. Wilcox Cinema 6 in Vicksburg, Miss., and Washington Square Cinema 4 in Bastrop — each operated by Wilcox — were reported closed last week.
