Andouille Fest unveils ticket specials

LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Andouille Festival, slated for Oct. 16-18 at the St. John Community Center in LaPlace, will feature great food, good music and an overall enjoyable time for all ages.

Tickets for the 2015 Jazz Brunch and Pay-One-Price Ride Bracelets went on sale Monday. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of special offers in advance for the fun-filled festival weekend.

Jazz Brunch: $30 a ticket

The popular Southern practice that combines breakfast and lunch also known as “Brunch” has become an exciting tradition at the annual Andouille Festival. The eloquently catered “Jazz Brunch” Oct. 18 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the St. John Community Center offers attendees a delightful, musical and delicious experience.

Entertainment will be provided by New Orleans’ own “Songbird” Robin Barnes.

Tickets are available for $30 at the Parish President’s Receptionist’s Desk inside the Percy Herbert Building, 1801 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

Advanced All Weekend Pay-One-Price Ride Bracelet: $50

Save money on rides by purchasing an all weekend Pay-One-Price Ride Bracelet that includes unlimited ride access throughout the entire festival weekend. The deal alleviates the cost of normal ride rates that range from $3-$5 per ride.

Pay-One-Price tickets will only be available for purchase until Oct. 15.

4-hour Session Pay-One-Price Ride Bracelet: $20 advance, $25 at Festival

Advance ride bracelets for four-hour sessions are available for $20 before Oct. 15 and $25 at the festival. Session times are 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

All ride bracelets can be purchased during normal operating hours at: Matherne’s Supermarket, 1424 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace, Greg’s Supermarket, 148 Central Avenue in Reserve, Don’s Supermarket, 388 Central Avenue in Reserve, the Percy Hebert Building Receptionist Desk and Westbank Courthouse, 2393 Highway 18 in Edgard .

Those who bring a canned food item to the admission gate on Oct. 16 pay an admission price of just $1. Donated canned goods will be provided to St. John Ministry of Care.
