Photo Feature: August Viking Virtue winners

The Viking Virtue reward program is continuing this year at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School. Students are presented with Viking Virtue cards when they show Christian virtue and perform actions worthy of recognition.
Viking Virtue winners for August were, from left, back, Miranda Hotard, Cade Pregeant, Hayden Hebert, middle, Jenna Chauvin, Dacia Chilangwa, Jay Childs, front, Gabriel Kugler, Dre’dain Johnson, and (not pictured) Nicholas Hooge.
They then place their cards into boxes on campus. Each week Principal Jeffrey Montz pulls three cards from one of the boxes.
The three students whose names are pulled receive certificates and attend a lunch with Montz in the teachers lounge, and they each get to invite a friend to join them.
Their parents receive a phone call informing them of the good things their children have been doing.
