St. Charles readies voter ed.

ST. ROSE — The St. Charles Parish Registrar of Voters Office is conducting Voter Education Week Aug. 31 – Sept. 4 to encourage all Louisiana residents 17 years old or older who are not registered to vote to visit GeauxVote.com or contact their office.

The St. Charles Parish Registrar of Voters Office will be conducting Voter Registration Drives at the following locations during Voter Education Week:

• Sept. 3, St. Rose Library, 90 East Club Drive in St. Rose. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Sept. 4, Paradis Library, 307 Audubon St. in Paradis, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Besides voting in person on Election Day or Early Voting at the Registrar Of Voters Office, those who are 65 years of age and older or mobility impaired may receive their election ballot by mail.

Additional “Mail Ballot Request Forms” are on the St. Charles Parish website stcharlesparish-la.gov/registrar.

On the St. Charles Parish Government Home Page, the Registrar of Voters Office Tab is located under Parish Governmental Agencies.

In addition to the week’s activities, citizens can always register to vote at GeauxVote.com: or while obtaining services at the Office of Motor Vehicles, Public Assistance Agencies, Public Schools, Colleges and Libraries.
