Fuji opens in LaPlace

LAPLACE — Staff members of Fuji Japanese Express joined with supporters and members of St. John the Baptist Parish government to celebrate the restaurant’s opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.

Fuji Japanese Express is located at 1922 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace in a location previously occupied by Arby’s.

St. John the Baptist Parish Officials joined owners Tony and Feng Chen for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening.
Fuji’s menu offers a unique blend of sushi, seafood and traditional Asian cuisine. Customers can select from a variety of traditional Chinese dishes in addition to specialty items such as scallops, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp and steak.
Other featured menu items include various sushi rolls, seafood salads, chicken wings and soups. Hibachi is also available.
“It is great to see another business opening in St John and District IV,” said Council Member Marvin Perilloux. “The food was excellent and the sushi was tasty. Much success to the Fuji restaurant.”
The store also offers drive through service for customer convenience and prides itself on delivering delicious meals at a quick rate. Fuji is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
