LUTCHER —The Purple Wave girl’s softball travelling team is hosting tryouts for the fall and spring 2015-2106 season.

Tryouts will be held Aug. 22 at Lutcher Park, located at 2601 Lutcher Avenue (Highway 3183) in Lutcher.

The following is the time for tryouts for each age group:

– 10U at 11 a.m.

– 12U at 1 p.m.

– 16U at 3 p.m.

Those interested in trying out for the teams are asked to arrive 30 minutes early to register. Private workouts will be held by request.

The Purple Wave organization aims to enhance athletic and personal skills in their travel team members.

The team was created to instill a good work ethic, enhance social development, contribute to mental and physical health and teach values of personal responsibility, self discipline, self motivation and teamwork.
