Lisa Maria Briones, 51, passed away on Saturday, July 25.

She was a lifelong resident of LaPlace, a graduate of East St. John High School and formerly involved in the Special Olympics.

Briones was the beloved daughter of Julian Briones Jr. and the late Linda Santiago Briones; sister of Julian Briones III (Edlyn) and Stanley Briones (Amber); and aunt of Linda, Julie, Jessica, Calixto, Madison, Shelby, Stanley Jr., Dominic, Mary, Celine, Roch and Nicholas Briones.

She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and her caregivers, Aquana and Chasity.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Greenwood Dr., in LaPlace on Tuesday, July 28 at 11 a.m.

Visitation will begin in church at 9 a.m.

Interment will be in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
