Dow, Valero each donate $50K to Chamber

LAPLACE — The Dow Chemical Company and Valero’s St. Charles Refinery have each contributed $50,000 to the River Region Chamber of Commerce’s capital campaign.

Both companies are recognized as diamond investors within the Chamber’s campaign investor program for their generous contributions. The capital campaign goal is to raise $450,000 for the Chamber’s new building purchase and improvements.
The new building, located at 390 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace, projects a positive image to residents and visitors, organizers said, by reflecting the Chamber’s mission to “Grow, Strengthen and Unify” businesses in St. John the Baptist, St. James and St. Charles Parishes.
The new facility also provides a central location for elected officials and business representatives to regularly visit the Chamber for presentations, advice and to share ideas.
