ST. ROSE — An argument between a husband and wife ended in an attempted manslaughter charge for the wife, who authorities said allegedly threw a plugged-in lamp at her bathing husband.
St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne reported Stacy Lawson, 44, of 106 Dianne Drive in St. Rose was arrested June 30 after she “threw a plugged-in lamp into the Jacuzzi tub the victim was soaking in.”
Captain Patrick Yoes said a verbal argument between the married couple preceded the action by Lawson, who was arrested and booked with attempted manslaughter the day of the altercation.
The victim called in the incident, Yoes said, adding the man did not need medical attention because the lamp short-circuited when it was thrown into the water.
Yoes said Lawson bonded out of the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center July 1 on a $5,000 bond.
