George Joseph Moore, 89, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015.
George Joseph Moore
He was a native of Newark, N.J., and a resident of LaPlace.
He was the beloved husband of the late Edith Ladner Moore, father of Claude Wayne Moore (wife, Karla), Joseph R. Moore (former wife, Ann and the late wife, Aleta) and the late Ida L. Moore and Chester R. Moore; son of the late Eva Dietzel Moore and Fred Moore; brother of Jeannine Philpot and the late Lillian Moore and Charlotte Carpenter; and grandfather of Daniel J. Moore, Shawn Moore and the late Doug Moore.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Moore proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace, on Thursday, July 9 at 11 a.m.
Visitation is from 9 until 11 a.m. Interment is in St. Peter Cemetery.
