Students earn awards for community service

LULING — United Way of St. Charles awarded LIVE UNITED scholarships to seven St. Charles Parish graduating high school seniors on June 4.
The recipients received a one-time cash award in recognition of their commitment to community service and the positive impact they had on St. Charles Parish through their leadership and service.
United Way of St. Charles is proud to honor the recipients of the LIVE UNITED Scholarship, United Way Director of Community Impact said Kacy Kernan said.
“We are very happy to be able to support these students who have made such an effort to give back to their community,” Kernan said.
The scholarships were awarded to students from Destrehan and Hahnville High Schools. The students who received scholarships from Hahnville High School include Katelynn Schonekas, Logan Long and Breanna Ford.
Destrehan High School students Alexis Guerra, Chloe Babineaux, Abby Rochelle and Lisa Dempsey received a LIVE UNITED scholarship.
