Photo feature: Second graders receive literacy lesson

- Johnathan Zeringue, a sophomore at Hahnville High School, recently presented a literacy lesson to second graders at Allemands Elementary School on the sport of baseball. As a requirement for Mrs. Unger’s Brown Service Learning Grant, ‘Adolescents Advocate Literacy,’ Zeringue delivered his lesson using three pieces of literature. For this activity, the students listened as he read the fiction book Goodnight Baseball.
