West St. John High School recently celebrated its first Muffins With Mom event. Mothers and grandmothers were greeted at the door by their daughters and granddaughters.

Pastor Carla Ceaser, guest speaker, addressed those gathered as they enjoyed their continental breakfast. Her message was  to be a strong mother during hard times.

The remainder of the morning was spent mingling with one another. The school hopes to make the event an annual tradition.
