Delores ‘Pye’ Potier Trisler

WAYNESBORO, Miss. — The family and friends of Delores ‘Pye’ Benoit Potier Trisler, 65, are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on May 31, 2015, at her home in Waynesboro, Mississippi.

She was born March 29, 1950, in Gueydan and married to Clifton Potier Sr., who died in 2001. She later married Donald Trisler, who died on Nov. 18, 2013.

She trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She diligently cared for her son, Clifton Potier Jr., who has M.S. Pye enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Pye is survived by her son, Clifton Potier Jr. of Waynesboro; one daughter, Cynthia P. Boone of Luling; three brothers, Charles Benoit, Mitchell Benoit and Jeffery Benoit all of Gueydan; Peola B. LeBlanc, Theresa B. Smith, Lena B. Trahan, Melissa Benoit all of Gueydan; Mary B. Hargrave and Barbara B. Clark of Morse and Jennifer B. Richard of Lafayette.

She had four grandchildren: Taylor Ciarra Boone, Amy Gabrielle Potier, Daniel Alexander Potier and Sara Michelle Golmon.

She had six great grandchildren, Audriena Sylve, Maria Garay, Zackary Potier Zoey Potier and Samantha Golmon.

Pye was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. ‘Ayo’ and Velgin C. Benoit and her sister, Ella Rose B. LeLeux.

A burial service to honor Pye’s life will be held at the Gueydan Cemetery, in Gueydan, on Saturday, June 13 at 11:30 a.m.
