ESJ students sign on for college

- East St. John High School senior Amy Slayton signs her name to the Academic Signing Day board as classmate Joe’Kur Jones waits his turn. Slayton will attend Louisiana Tech University, while Jones is headed to Louisiana State University.
East St. John High School held its annual Academic Signing Day May 19.
Kyla Holmes, a member of the ESJH Class of 2015, signs her name to the Academic Signing Day board. Holmes received a Xavier University Merit Scholarship worth $19,800.
Academic Signing Day is an opportunity for graduating seniors who have received academic scholarships to sign their intention to attend those schools.
The ESJH Class of 2015 earned nearly $4 million in academic scholarship offers this year.
