Walter J. Tassin, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

He was a native and resident of LaPlace.
Tassin was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Hebert Tassin; father of Jimmy Tassin (Wendy), Diane Matthews (Charles) and Judy Walden (Morris); son of the late Helenea Tabb Tassin and Zepharine Tassin; brother of Rose Babin and the late Nobby, Henry, Zepharine and Cleveland Tassin; grandfather of Jonathan, Jill, Chris, Scott and Russell.
He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace, on Friday May 15 from 5 until 9 p.m. Visitation on Saturday is at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St. in LaPlace, from 9 until 11 a.m.
