Nancy Sellers Acosta, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015.

She was a native of Annapolis, Md., and a resident of LaPlace.

Acosta was the beloved wife of the late Leroy Acosta; mother of Rebecca A. Simoneaux (Scott) and Kelly A. Turner (Daryl); daughter of the late Frances Carr Sellers and Walter R. Sellers; sister of John W. Sellers and the late Edna Lamb and Kathleen McMahon; and grandmother of Dylan and Sophia Turner and Evan and Eden Simoneaux.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Southeast LA War Veterans Home and Serenity Hospice for their loving care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Greenwood Drive in LaPlace, on Wednesday, May 13 at 11 a.m.  Visitation is from 9 until 11 a.m.

Interment will take place at a later date in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif.
