LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital was recently awarded grant funds from the Bayou Region Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

The grant will fund 50 free screening mammograms for indigent, uninsured and/or underinsured woman age 40 or over in St. James Parish.

The grant also includes 10 free diagnostic mammograms and 10 free breast ultrasounds. A doctors’ order is required for the screenings.

This grant is available until March 15 or until all screenings are utilized.
