During that time, two of the three suspects walked to the pavilion area and pulled a picnic table from the center of the pavilion to a spot directly underneath one of the security cameras. The suspects then began attempting to either remove or damage the camera and, after a period of time, were successful in doing so, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office officials said.

The subjects then walked away from the area, with the security camera in hand, and threw the camera into a nearby canal, which was later recovered during a canvass by patrol deputies.

Video surveillance of the incident was obtained and authorities released a picture of one of the suspects involved in damaging the camera.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the person pictured.

If anyone is able to identify the suspect, they are asked to contact Detective Ronnie Newman at 985-783-1223 or 985-783-6807.
