LULING — The St. Charles Parish Procurement Office is organizing an auction of surplus vehicles, heavy equipment, office furniture and other miscellaneous items to be held at 10 a.m. May 16 at Winnwood Shopping Center, 1313 Paul Maillard Road, Suite B.

Prospective participants may inspect items at Winnwood from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. May 15 and the day of the auction beginning at 8 a.m. All items are being sold as-is and where-is, and no warranty is given as to the usefulness or merchantability of any item sold.

There will be no refunds.

Those buying auction items must present cash, a cashier’s check or bank letter of credit. A professional auctioneer will handle both auctions.

The buyer must remove purchased items from the auction site on May 16.

State law prohibits parish employees and members of employees’ immediate families from buying items at parish surplus auctions.
