Addams Family auditions open

RESERVE — St. James Community Theater is returning to summer musicals with its 2015 production of “The Addams Family.”

Auditions are set for May 4 – 7.

An informational meeting and instruction on dance audition sequences takes places at 6:30 p.m. May 4 at the Riverside Academy Band Hall, 332 Railroad Ave. in Reserve.

Audition dates for main roles and ensemble take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. May 5-7 at St. Peter’s School Auditorium, 188 W. 7th St. in Reserve.

St. James Community Theater is returning to producing summer musicals after a six-year hiatus. At the helm for the production is director Darryl P. Clement.

Clement is looking for a family of lead and featured roles, which are available for five men, four women and one male child. The adult roles range from teens to seniors citizens. In addition, a mixed chorus of 10 or more is needed to complete the cast. The chorus of Addams’ ancestors consists of the living, the dead and the undecided.

This spooky musical comedy is sure to cast its spell on audiences of all ages, organizers said. Show dates are set for July 24 – 26, 30-31, and Aug. 1 at St. Peter’s School in Reserve.
