MORGAN CITY — Four of Destrehan High School’s best anglers are representing the school at next month’s state championship tournament.

Spellman Pellerin, Dillon Deroche, Logan Roussel and Torbin Breit are scheduled to compete May 2 in the Louisiana B.A.S.S. Nation State Championship Basin Tournament held at Doiron’s Landing in Morgan City.

The four teenagers advanced thanks to strong showing March 29 in the State High School Qualifier Bass Fishing Tournament at Bayou Segnette in Westwego.

Spellman and Dillion took fourth place, while Logan and Torbin earned a fifth place finish.
