John Francis “Jack” Swisher, 72, passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 12, 2015.

He was a native of Edgewood, MD and a resident of Lutcher.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Swisher; sons John F. Swisher, Jr. and Vincent J. Swisher; and daughters Patricia Loupe and Natalie Reeves.

He is also survived by son-in-law Mark Patterson; brothers-in-law John Peters, John Matherne and Barry Wilson; grandchildren Lindsey Montz and husband Jacques, George Loupe Jr., Kaitlyn Loupe, Madison Roussel and husband Robert, Michael Reeves II, Olivia Reeves, Emily Swisher, Wesley Patterson, Emily Patterson, Mark Patterson, Lillian Patterson, Jacqueline Patterson, Kathleen Patterson, Timothy Patterson and wife Cara; and great-grandchildren Kamryn Montz, Clayton Montz and soon-to-be great-grandchildren Carmen and Claire Roussel; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Jerome Swisher and Dorothy S. Swisher; daughter Shannon Patterson, son-in-law Michael Reeves, sister Patricia Peters and sister-in-law Georgette Wilson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15 at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday, April 16 at the funeral home from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina.

Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.
