I, Charles D. Ketchens, oppose this Methanol plant from being built in the Fifth District near St. James High School, the people next to the school and the people in the community of Barras Street

We have about 200 to 300 people in that area. I will do everything in my power to fight this Methanol plant from being built in this area.

The people of the Fifth District have spoken out against this facility, and as Councilman of the District, I Stand behind them.

We are being promised jobs and everything else in the Community.

Too many times have I heard this over and over, and we never get anything, maybe one or two jobs.

Once the Company gets all their permits, they forget about what they talked about.

We are losing people in District 5 due to plants trying to locate next to homes in the District.

I am not against industry in the parish but not in the Fifth District.
