LAPLACE — A Household Hazardous Materials Collection Day in John the Baptist, St. Charles and St. James Parishes is planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18.

The goal is to provide households an opportunity to properly dispose or recycle materials that are inappropriate for curbside pickup.

The collection sites are located in Destrehan at the Jerusalem Shriners Hall AAONMS parking lot, 1940 Ormond Boulevard in St. Charles Parish and in LaPlace at the New Wine Ministries parking lot, 1921 Airline Highway, in St. John the Baptist Parish.
