Krewe du Monde float riders and even some members of the community pitched in and donated nearly 200 jars of peanut butter to benefit the St. John Ministry of Care during parade festivities Sunday afternoon in LaPlace.

Krewe du Monde and the accompanying ball is the largest fundraiser of the LaPlace Lions Club.

Lions Club Vice President Melynie Wright said she would continue to accept peanut butter donations from the community at A Storage Inn, located at 2820 Highway 51 in LaPlace.
