LAPLACE — The All-Star Foundation Scholarship was founded by Todd P. Trosclair.

Trosclair graduated from St. Charles Borromeo High School in 1977 and was very active in sports and clubs.

He is now CEO of All Star Electric, Inc. Living out the American dream of owning his own company, Trosclair firmly believes his success is attributable to education and strong, dependable teamwork.

This scholarship is a way for Trosclair to assist active, hard-working and involved students with their high school tuition. Trosclair also serves as the Alumni Co-Chair for the United in Faith Capital Campaign, currently taking place at St. Charles Catholic High School. Trosclair recently announced the two winners preceding the schoolwide Mass at St. Charles Catholic High School during Catholic Schools Week.

Juniors Ashley St. Martin and John Campbell were each awarded $1,000 towards their SCC tuition. Both students maintain a 4.0 GPA and are involved in school and community service activities.

St. Martin lettered in volleyball and softball. She is also a member of the Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Student Council and Science Club.

Campbell has lettered in football and tennis. He is a member of the Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Student Council and Science Club.

Plans are for the scholarship to cover some of the cost of attending St. Charles Catholic High School.

A committee was formed by Trosclair to judge the anonymous applications submitted by students. One male and one female are recognized each year.

The criteria used in awarding these scholarships is focused on the demonstration of the student’s development of the mind, body and spirit.

Principal Andrew Cupit thanked Trosclair for his involvement and support of St. Charles Catholic High School.

“Our students and our school are fortunate to have the support of our fabulous alumni,” Cupit said.
