River Region Mardi Gras parade schedule:

LAPLACE — While New Orleans is undoubtedly the hub of Mardi Gras parades, residents of the River Parishes are gearing up for five local parades that will help them revel in the Carnival season.
Krewe of Lul
This year’s parade will roll through Luling at noon Saturday.
The parade will lineup and begin at Winnwood Shopping Center, turn right onto Paul Maillard Road, continue to and turn right on River Road, continue to and turn right on Sugarhouse Road, continue to and turn right on Angus Drive and disband at Paul Maillard Road.
Krewe of Towahpasah
Krewe of Towahpasah, Reserve’s distinctive parade, will roll at noon Saturday. Vehicles will line up at Riverside Academy in Reserve, and all are welcome to ride.
Krewe du Monde
Krewe du Monde, the largest parade in the River Parishes, will roll at 11 a.m. Sunday in LaPlace.
The parade starts on Main Street and ends at the intersection of Fairway and Belle Terre Boulevard.
Krewe of Des Allemands
The Krewe of Des Allemands will roll beginning at the corner of Louisiana 631 and Wenger Road. in Des Allemands at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Krewe of Tomorrow
The Krewe of Tomorrow, St. James Parish’s only Carnival parade and the only parade in the River Parishes that rolls on Fat Tuesday, will roll at 1 p.m. Tuesday. This year’s theme is “Masquerade.” The parade starts at Lutcher Elementary School, travels to Sacred Heart Church in Gramercy and loops back around to end at Lutcher Elementary School.
