LAPLACE — Small businesses and non-profit organizations impacted by Hurricane Isaac can apply for the Small Business Loan and Grant program for assistance with unmet needs following the disaster.

More information on the application process, including locations of intake centers, will be released once finalized, parish officials said.

Interested entities will also be able to visit sjbparish.com to download an application and/or to receive more information.

St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom said St. John was awarded $32,674,000 in grant funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Program and $3,862,306 will be used for grants/loans to business owners to facilitate their full recovery.

Through the grant, funding from $20,000 to $100,000 will be available as a 20% grant and 80% low interest loan to affected small businesses.
