LAPLACE — Pin Oak Terminals, a storage and logistics company operating in St. John the Baptist Parish, celebrated its LaPlace central location office Dec. 12 with a ribbon cutting.
According to company officials, Pin Oak is permitted and developing a liquid and chemicals storage and crude-by-rail terminal on 431 acres along the Mississippi River in Mt. Airy.
Pin Oak provides customers options through rail, ship, pipeline and truck access, according to the Pin Oak website, serving North America’s crude, refined product and chemical industries.
Pin Oak representative Danny Guidry said project details are pending, but the office, located at 408 Belle Terre Boulevard, will serve as a central location to meet and manage upcoming developments.
Parish President Natalie Robottom said the community is thrilled to have Pin Oak open an office in St. John Parish.
“We look forward to continuing to work with them to bring their industrial development to fruition,” Robottom said. “Having representatives familiar with our parish and its residents will go a long way in moving this project forward.”
Pin Oak representatives serve on the St. John Parish Community Advisory Panel and work with other industrial organizations in the area to ensure the community is kept abreast of upcoming decisions and activities.
The Pin Oak Team also partners with the Port of South Louisiana to continue to bring economic opportunities to the area, parish officials said.
