RESERVE — The Louisiana National Guard, 1084th Transportation Company, held their annual family day celebration on Dec. 7.
Organizers said the day creates a seasonal opportunity for family and friends to gather, complete with gift giving to the children by Santa.
Attendees enjoyed the camaraderie, along with the sounds of their own member DJ, Justin Claborn.
The food was donated, and the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Blenk Assembly 318 provided fried catfish and crawfish pies.
Coordinator Sgt. Stacey Wells presented a plaque to the Knights of Columbus for their provisions at many functions. The American Legion, Post 383, was also honored for their participation at the times of deployment and return, as well as support of the 1084th’s various functions.
Commander of the 1084th, 1st Lt. Nicholas Glatzer and 1st Sgt. David Bonin, echoed the thanks to both of these support groups with high hopes they will return in the future.
