Public can weigh in on St. Charles crossover work

LULING — Area residents will have their chance to learn about and comment on state plans to revamp crossovers in St. Charles Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed U.S. 90 Median Crossover Improvements project.
The proposed project would consist of removing existing crossovers and adding turn lanes at existing crossover locations. The proposed project limits are approximately between the Lafourche/St. Charles Parish line and the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish line.
The public meeting is slated from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.
The open house public meeting will focus on the proposed U.S. 90: Louisiana 306 – Early Street project, which would consist of the addition of turn lanes, raised medians and other access management improvements.
The proposed project is located on U.S. 90 in Paradis.
Representatives from LADOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues.
Verbal and written comments on the projects can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to LADOTD, Section 28, P.O. Box 94245, Baton Rouge, 70804-9245. They should be postmarked by Dec. 31.
