GARYVILLE — Garyville residents and the rest of the River Region has already started enjoying the newest local McDonald’s, opened recently at the corner of U.S. 54 and Airline Highway.

Store owner Chris Valluzzo said he is extremely excited to have joined the Garyville community and to also have an additional location in St. John the Baptist Parish.

“We look forward to serving the residents here for many years to come,” Valluzo said.

Parish President Natalie Robottom, administration staff and Council members Lucien Gauff and Michael Wright joined Valluzzo, General Manager David Kaltenbacher and Director of Operations Robin Casanova for a recent ribbon cutting ceremony for the store’s grand opening in Garyville.

The event included refreshments, gift bags, coupons for seasonal treats and an appearance by Ronald McDonald.

“I would like to thank Mr. Valluzzo for bringing a well-established brand such as McDonald’s to Garyville and giving jobs and economic development to a community and parish on the rise,” Gauff, Councilman-At-Large Division A, said. “This establishment can be the cornerstone to many more development opportunities.”

Wright said it was great to spend the morning at the grand opening, adding he looks forward to the success of the business “and many more to come.”

The store features a modern exterior with contemporary color schemes and an efficient two-lane drive-through. While inside, customers can enjoy a soothing atmosphere to satisfy their hunger and free wireless Internet.

“We welcome Mr. Valluzo, his partners and the McDonald’s staff to Garyville and encourage our residents to take advantage of this convenient location,” Robottom said.
